Most people have a good understanding of what they need to do to optimise their site for search engines. There are countless blog posts, webinars, talks training courses……etc on it. There are no-end of companies willing to take your money to get you to the top of the search rankings. This is not the aim of my SEO work with you. I want YOU to understand how to optimise YOUR site.

I want to make sure you’re ranking for the search terms which are going to work best for you. This means understanding your goals and your users; the language they use, the tasks they want to perform, the whole user experience.

Once we have a good idea of your key search terms, we set to work making simple changes to improve the chances of people finding you through search engines for these terms, but also ways to keep the user on the site for longer and engaging with you.

This is not a technical piece of work, it’s about improving the content. I won’t offer you tricks. I want to make your website the best website it can be.

Pre-meeting

  • We will have an initial chat to understand more about your service, your goals, your users and the tasks they want to perform.

  • I will research the best search terms for your site, review your main competitors and the competition of different search terms

  • If you have Google Analytics and Google Console accounts (and you're happy to share access with me), I will review this to gain further insight on your traffic and users.

  • I will compile a list of relevant search terms (terms you expect your users to be using to find your website)

Meeting

  • We would then go through the site together to see how we can optimise the site for these search terms. This way you understand what we're doing and why.

  • I would also give you tips on how you can improve the website's usability and offer ideas on ways you can drive extra traffic to your site. The aim would be to help you reach the goals you've identified.

  • We would also look at Google Analytics and Google Console. We can go through the reports so you can understand how it works and what you're looking for.

Post meeting

  • We have a follow-up call/meeting to see how things are going after 3 months.

What Impact can you expect?

In terms of results, you should eventually find more traffic coming through the site from the search terms we've identified.

This should deliver on the goals we identified in the initial chat.
